The ETH Library has established an electronic document server, the ETH E-Collection. Members of the ETH community can make public digital documents that have not been published through other channels. On one hand the E-Collection offers scientists the possibility to quickly publish research results worldwide. On the other hand, publications that so far have not been available to a wider audience get added to the library?s already extensive stock. The ETH E-Collection pays special attention to the quality standards. The quality of the published content will be assured in close cooperation with the departments of the ETH.
By the end of September 2002 the collection composed mainly of doctoral theses, journals, reports and educational material contained about 3100 documents.
