Rückblick

ETH World hat regelmässig zu Events eingeladen, um über die Fortschritte des Programms zu informieren und interessante Entwicklungen und Technologien vorzustellen. Das Ziel der Events war auch, der ETH-World-Community ein Forum für Weiterbildung und Erfahrungsaustausch anzubieten.

Mit den "Technology Showcase"-Events stellte ETH World jedes Semester im monatlichen Rhythmus ein aktuelles Thema aus dem Feld der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie vor. Die Info-Lunches waren Themen von breitem Interesse für alle ETH-Angehörigen gewidmet. Diese Anlässe fanden zweimal jährlich je im Zentrum und auf dem Hönggerberg statt.

Dr. Fabrizio Gagliardi will present the international "Enabling Grids for E-Science" (EGEE) project, which develops a computing Grid infrastructure. Expanding from two initial pilot application domains, high-energy physics and biomedicine, the project today supports applications ranging from earth sciences to computational chemistry. »»
