The project Chemistry Contact Network (CCN) has four main goals:
- To formulate and visualize the role of chemistry within ETH World.
Concentrating on key research topics, such as nanotechnology, catalysis, and modern analytical methods, CCN aims to establish time-limited virtual research clusters and virtual institutes.
? To enhance the visibility and acceptance of chemistry as a major research and teaching field at ETH.
? To expand teaching to a new, virtual level by generating new teaching and learning tools not only for basic chemical education at different departments of ETH and higher-level education at the Department of Chemistry, but also for secondary schools and the Gymnasium level, and for continuing education.
? To establish dynamic links between teaching, research, and applications, moving towards a comprehensive interaction with present and future chemistry.
